Vaginal Health Test (Tiny Health) - measures all bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, and archaea in the vaginal microbiome.

Advanced Vaginal Health Testing using shotgun metagenomics sequencing - the gold standard in microbiome research, to provide strain-level resolution, functional insights, and the most in-depth relative abundance.

  • Detect all bacteria, fungi, and viruses present, down to a 0.05% relative abundance level
  • Identify vaginal CST, or community state type.  This lets you know which bacteria dominate your vaginal microbiome and let you know if your community is one at higher risk for recurrent infection.
  • Whether or not you harbor Lactobacillus, a group of bacteria that keep your vaginal tract healthy. We like to see low diversity and high levels of Lactobacillus
  • Identify microbes that frequently show up in common vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection
  • Flag unfriendly bacteria that may increase vaginal inflammation and preterm birth

What can a Tiny Health Vaginal Health Test shed light on?

  • Itchiness, pain and odor
  • Recurrent infections like BV or yeast infections
  • Preterm birth
  • Fertility and IVF treatment
  • Vaginal seeding for C-section birth
  • Antibiotic recovery
  • Vaginal symptoms of unknown cause

The results report includes detailed findings - including how the patient's microbes relate to inflammation - and areas needing improvement.

Test results also explain how the patient's vaginal microbiome may influence their risk of infections that may be undetected in conventional tests.

The personalised report empowers patient and pracititoner to make an informed action plan so the patient can take charge of their vaginal health.

Combining insights from the Vaginal Health Test with the patient's health history lets the practitioner personalize an action plan for more comprehensive next steps and oversight - guiding recommendations on the following:

  • Prebiotics and probiotics
  • Supplements
  • Diet
  • Lifestyle
