Overview

The Human Herpes Virus (HHV)-6 EliSpot test measures T-cell activity specific to HHV-6 using an enzyme-linked immunospot assay, one of the most sensitive methods for detecting cellular immune responses. This technique identifies cytokine-producing T cells, offering insight into immune engagement even when antibody responses (IgG/IgM) alone do not provide a full picture. The test requires three ACD/CPDA blood tubes for accurate analysis.
